Capacity Management

SCO has a brokerage division that currently works with over 400 carriers serving various industries across all modes. In the event that one of SCO's customers' core carriers could not cover a tendered shipment, SCO will work within our carrier community to get cover the shipment.

Rail Visibility

SCO's Rail Visibility service provides our customers the visibility needed for planning and managing railcars. This service enables the expeditious handling of railcars, and provides a report of the time a car is at a facility.

The yard management service also provides information about all equipment within a plant.   It is used to support the movement of railcars in the plant. This includes movements from inbound railroads or switchers, storage of loaded or empty cars, inspections, cleaning, loading, and outbound movement of railcars. The bottom line is that this service enables plant, operating, and office personnel to readily see what is going on in their yard.

Rack/Dock scheduling

SCO's Rack/Dock Scheduling Solution integrates with the Transportation Execution Center and provides an online, self-administered rack/dock scheduling tool to enable carriers to view rack/dock availability, self-schedule at a loading rack/dock for a pick up and a means to communicate and swap loading times between carriers.

Shippers can easily configure site locations to assure that non-compatibility, scheduled downtime and private fleet requirements are addressed.  Gate personnel responsible for directing the carriers to the appropriate rack/dock locations can print daily, weekly, or monthly rack/dock schedules for review and use.
